Philly is a city of neighborhoods and the people are very territorial in a good way. Philadelphians are proud of their city and proud of the neighborhood they grew up in. I grew up in a section of the city called the Far Northeast, many would say its almost outside of Philly and they would be right. It's extremely close to the suburbs but it's still Philly. I have many fond memories of growing, playing and experiencing here in Philadelphia.  Earlier when I stated Philadelphians are territorial, well its true, they will defend their neighborhood and many people do not like to leave their neighborhood. Philly is a big city so each neighborhood has its own conveniences, however I am an explorer. I enjoy experiencing my city and all it has to offer. I've collected the flavor of the City of Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection and wish to share it here in The Philly Experience. This is my very first post but in the future we will feature different landmarks,restaurants,bakeries and institutions in each neighborhood and get a feel for what the people and places are really about.
